This NIJ level 3 ESAPI plate strikes the perfect balance between effective protection and allowing you to perform at your best. PGD U-line level 3 is our lightest ceramic plate at only 2.15 kilos, because it is made of Silicon Carbide ceramic. At the same time it makes the plate extremely strong, so that it can withstand multi-hit against 6 shots of 7.62x51 NATO (NIJ III test shot). Silicon carbide ceramic also offers edge-to-edge ceramic, which protects against edge shots in the visible area of the plate. Edge-to-edge plates instead have a hard foam edge, reducing the protection area of the plate by 1/3.
PGD U-line level 3++ is made as Stand Alone (SA) and designed in multicurve. The plate has an ergonomic Shooters cut, which means your arms can move freely. This hard plate fits in almost all carriers because it is made in 10x12 inches. To protect the plate against impacts, we have applied a thin layer of foam around the plate.

This Shooters cut ballistic plate stops impacts of 7.62x51 M80, 7.62x39 msc (ak47) and 5.56x45 mm (M855 / SS109 ), the latter of which (M855 / SS109) cannot penetrate our ceramic plates, making them better than steel and 100% PE plates, which allow M855/SS109 to pass through.see image below
